Colonic Hydrotherapy with Edwige Cabanetos

My name is Edwige Cabanetos and I am a full-time Colon Hydrotherapist.
The Digestive System is my passion and I want to make sure that you get a professional quality care before, throughout and after your treatment. My practice provides a friendly environment, accounting for hygiene and comfort.

I was born and brought up in France. I grew up in a very green and quiet countryside by the Atlantic coast. I eventually decided to travel and explore different horizons. My last stop was London! New life, new culture, new everything. But overall, a much faster pace of life! What you are about to read is a brief resume of what made me become a Colonic Hydro therapist.

After years of going through accumulated stress, therefore, a fast pace of life, stressful job, bad eating habits and smoking to name a few, I took my body to a very
unhealthy place. As a result of a few years of negligence, I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (ibs). It made me realized how much my body could take until it started to retaliate.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (ibs) movie

IBS is a functional disorder or syndrome that is characterized by negative developments in the bowel. With irritable bowel syndrome (ibs), the nerves and muscles in the bowel are extra sensitive. Considering that the Autonomic Nervous system is directly linked to this region, a stressed person (me at the time) will trigger it more often than the average person, causing more contractions while eating. This constant contractions could cause cramping and diarrhoea during or shortly after the meal.

My Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) symptoms weren't the only worry (constipation, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, lack of motivation to name a few) but I also was constantly tired, and had a bad skin condition. I had a heavy history of antibiotics use which clearly disrupted my bowel's microflora. I am French and France is one of the biggest consumer of antibiotics in the world! Over 633 million daily doses of antibiotics are being prescribed yearly in my country alone! There is often an associated link between the use of antibiotics and diarrhea in people, (I was one of them) creating a disturbance in the guts' microbiota, allowing the bad bacteria to grow stronger and causing diarrhea (eg: Clostridium Difficile being part of the bad bacteria's colonie in our bowel). Antibiotic Associated Diarrhea (ADD) can be a risk factor for IBS development.
I used to straine so much, I led myself to a very lazy bowel, but to help myself feeling better, I'd use laxatives, and cause even more damage to my digestive tract. The vicious circle was then started. I had to do something about this as my social life was being affected.

I re-evaluated my diet, my lifestyle habits and started on a completely new basis. I tried Colonic Hydrotherapy and Reflexology along the way as a supportive tool to my condition. It felt uncomfortable at first, telling me how much damage I may have caused myself but with the help of the therapist, I'd improve my nutrition and listen to my body more and more. Every time I'd go back for a colonic treatment, my body would react more and more positively.

I wish I knew Colonic Hydrotherapy when I was diagnosed with an Irritable Bowel Syndrome (ibs) so I could have helped myself with some support throughout my condition. The real benefits of Colonic Hydrotherapy are simply outstanding. It changed my view on how much our gut needs support!

Our body is designed for survival and is an extremely powerful tool, if we give it a chance. Of course, I could have carried on with my life and adapt to the pain and discomfort, as I have done for years. But instead, I became interested in my Digestive system and started to read about it. I had enough of getting this discomfort in the way and wanted to learn how to get better. How did I get to that stage in the first place, and now that I reached a better health, how did I manage to keep it there? I literally took myself to a stage of misery with appalling symptoms, which spoiled my social life! I knew how relevant, Colonic Hydrotherapy and nutrition became to my recovery as after each treatment, I could feel the change in my everyday habits. Of course, it didn't happen overnight, but the fact that I was clearly feeling much better from it, made me want to embrace this therapy even more. By the time I knew it, I was back on tract.

I now believe in taking a more natural approach towards our body's ailments, and guiding many people to a better understanding about the connection between their mind and body, the often missing link that we forget to work on for a healthier self.
I believe that Colonic
Hydrotherapy and Nutrition complement each other very well so to maintain a healthy life, that's why I never stop learning and updating myself on these subjects. Prevention really is better than cure.

I am passionate about the body's capacity to heal itself.

I know how difficult it is to come to terms with how to change our life habits.
So let me be your catalyst to a better and healthier life.

Colonic and Stress

Stress can be as poisonous and toxic as the everyday ingestion of processed food. It depletes us so much of the vital minerals and vitamins that our bowel requires to detoxify properly. It takes a lot of work from our cells to go through the detoxification process. Colon Hydrotherapy helps the colon to relax and clear out toxins on both "emotional" as well as "physical" levels. I recommend it for the large intestine maintenance and prevention to diseases.
Our modern society gives us a faster pace of life that our body founds hard to cope with. We work longer hours with less time to prepare healthy meals, therefore often
rely on take away food or eat in our work environment. It puts pressure on our Digestive System not allowing it to function at its optimal. Stress becoming one of the major factor to our affected colon as well as processed food and to top it all, too much animal fats and refined sugar.

I am a fully qualified Colon Hydro therapist, certified  and a member of the
I-ACT (International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy) as well as  RICTACT (International Register of Integrative Colon Therapists and Trainers) I practice on both, Closed and Open System.
